Paratonnerre is a minimal incursion in the exhibition space that consists of the installation of a real lightning rod onto the wall and the floor of the gallery. Threatening, but also graphic and visual, this sculpture convokes the outside space and meteorology into the exhibition space, putting the spectator in front of the potentiality of being endangered but also confronting him to human technology that canalizes nature’s potential for destruction.
